The new K33A-HDC Kit utilizes the power of the Swift K33A. This All-In-One core alignment fusion splicer, along with the HDCFT Accessory Kit, allows technicians to install hardened splice-on connectors in the field. This powerful duo equips technicians to perform the major 5 functions systematically: stripping, cleaning, cleaving, splicing and protecting; as well as installing a fully compatible OptiTap® Style hardened solution, ideal for harsh environments such Fiber to the Home applications.

UPGRADE OPTION
The HDCFT-KIT Accessory Kit* (HDCFT-01/02) includes all the tools necessary to prepare and terminate a UCL Swift HDC fusion splice-on connector onto both a flat 8.1mm x 4.5mm drop cable and a ROC® style drop cable. Optional holders are available for other cable types.
*Accessory kit is required to install HDC Connector; sold separately from splicer
WHAT IS ALL-IN-ONE?
UCL Swift’s fusion splicers integrate thermal stripping, cleaning, cleaving, splicing and protecting in to one convenient unit, reducing installation time and improving connection reliability. The All-In-One system provides an excellent working platform for high productivity.
1 | STRIPPING
- No scratches from heated stripping.
- 1 second strip time.
- Over 5 kgf tensile strength of fiber after stripping.
- Featuring excellent tensile force of fiber, the automatic stripper strips up to 28mm in length without damaging the surface of fiber.
- Minimum stripping length should be longer than 7.5mm.
2 | CLEANING
- One-touch pump.
- The alcohol pump can be removed and refilled with cleaning fluid.
- Avoid splashing the alcohol please cover the top part of dispenser with cleaning cotton and push it.
3 | CLEAVING
- Single-action cleaving.
- Designed to cleave the fiber at a 90 degree angle.
- The fiber shards are collected in the slide-type chip box placed at the side of body.
4 | SPLICING
- Splicing available for 1 core.
- After splicing the fiber splice must be visually perfect.
5 | PROTECTION
- Shrink down takes 20-35 seconds.
- Equipped with a sleeve loader to prevent contamination and provide convenience.
- Increased productivity from built-in sleeving unit.
