Join our innovative team as a Technical Support Engineer specializing in OSP & FTTX deployments technology, where you will be the driving force behind technical support, product demonstrations, and customer training. This role will primarily focus on fiber optic fusion splicing equipment, MDU connectivity products and solutions for OSP (Outside Plant) and FTTX networks. This role will assist in empowering clients by providing comprehensive training on our equipment and products, troubleshooting complex issues, and support our sales team to showcase our cutting edge solutions. Your energetic approach will help to foster strong customer relationships and accelerate product adaption across diverse markets.

The right candidate will have hands-on MSO field experience with fiber optic installations, fusion splicing, and field troubleshooting and willingness to travel as needed. The position will work closely with the sales managers, customers, contractors and partners to ensure successful product adaption and effective training. Full OJT training will be provided at our Carrollton, TX facility. Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging product demonstrations and technical presentations to prospective and current clients, highlighting the features and benefits of fusion splicers and fiber optic connectivity products
  • Provide hands-on product training sessions for customers, contractors and internal sales teams
  • Assist sales managers with product demonstrations and technical presentations
  • Support field testing and troubleshooting of fiber optic products used in OSP and FTTX deployments
  • Develop training materials and technical documentation
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to relay customer feedback and contribute to product improvements
  • Support solutions related to MDU, OSP and FTTX network deployments
  • Travel to customer locations for training, demonstrations and technical support
Qualifications
  • Three to five years MSO field service experience
  • Hands on experience with fusion splicers
  • Proven solid knowledge of fiber optic connectors, patch cords and fiber infrastructure
  • Full understanding of OSP and FTTX network enviroments
  • Excellent analysis skills to diagnose issues rapidly and develop innovative solutions that meet the customer requirements
  • Ability to conduct technical training and product demonstrations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 40-50% of time
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in fiber optic testing equipment (OTDR, light source, power meter) is a PLUS
  • Experience supporting telecom contractors, MSOs, or service providers is a PLUS
  • Experience with MDU deployments and last-mile fiber connectivity is a PLUS

Overview

We are seeking a professional, energetic, and results-driven Territory Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts across designated regions. This position will help drive sales growth of drop cable, cable assembly, splice-on connectors, FTTH product line, cable assembly product line, and fiber optic fusion splicers within the broadband market by representing our company, products, and message. This position is responsible for growing already established accounts within a specified territory as well as expanding the territory accounts by developing new accounts through key customer relationships and ensuring rep firms are fully aligned with UCL goals and trained on our product portfolio.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze data and report insights by tracking market activity, competitive movements, and funding-driven deployment trends to secure opportunities and adjust positioning accordingly.
  • Proactively identify new business opportunities, markets, customer segments, and growth opportunities within assigned regions, including service providers, utilities, cooperatives, municipalities, and emerging broadband operators.
  • Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with already established accounts through continued communication by supporting account planning, expansion strategies, and cross-product updates
  • Support distributor training, positioning, and go-to-market alignment as needed.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline visibility for business development and channel-driven opportunities.
  • Provide regular updates on market trends, distributor activity, and emerging opportunities to sales leadership by preparing and presenting regular reports with actionable insights.
  • Execute strategic sales plans aligned with company goals, objectives, and sales goals.
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns with professionalism and urgency.
  • Uphold company policies, pricing guidelines, and legal requirements.

Skill Requirements and Certifications

  • Proven experience in outside sales, B2B sales, or territory management with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, presentation presence, and relationship-building skills
  • Proficient in CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to analyze data and translate into action specific to the broadband market
  • Valid driver’s license

Education Requirements

  • Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree is a PLUS.
